ROOT CANAL TREATMENT
Root Canal Treatment is procedure done to relieve dental pain. Generally a tooth has 3 layers - Enamel, Dentine and Pulp. When a tooth decay involves deeper layer (Pulp) - Root canal Treatment to be done. This procedure involves removal of infection from within the tooth involving all canals in root structure - cleaning and shaping done with medicament placed.
Tooth is finally filled with Guttapercha points under Rubber Dam Application ensuring thorough sealing of tooth against infection. Tooth gets weaker after root canal treatment, So crown has to be placed following this procedure which makes tooth stronger to withstand biting forces and patients can resume normal diet.
In case of weaker crown structure (Post & Core) build up can be done to make adequate crown for tooth.
